Giant mule deer sheds

WYATT O’DAY, who grew up in St. Regis, found a pair of giant mule deer sheds this winter near Alberton. Though he’s not willing to tell the exact location, he was willing to show his prize. O’Day, who attends the University of Montana, said he collects, and sometimes sells, the sheds he finds. Deer tend to shed their antlers in mid-December while elk shed in February and March.
