All quiet after initial noise complaint

March 17

A noise complaint in Superior resulted in a call to law officers but after further investigation it was determined that all was quiet and no further action was taken. Case closed.

A criminal trespass in St. Regis resulted in a suspect brought in to see the judge.

Thefts in Superior and Lozeau were reported.

An animal noise complaint was reported in Superior. The owners were talked to about the town ordinance.

A traffic complaint resulted in an officer response, but upon arrival deputies were unable to locate anything amiss.

A vehicle fire in Superior was extinguished by the fire department. Firefighters said it was fully engulfed when they arrived.

March 18

After a traffic complaint in Superior, a warning was given to semi driver for parking in roadway.

Sheriff’s deputies helped a stranded motorist on I-90 with changing a flat tire.

March 19

A traffic stop on I-90 resulted in two citations issued, one for careless driving and the other for failure to carry proof of insurance.

A gun was relinquished to Mineral County Sheriff’s Office for having a filed serial number.

A report of missing male out of DeBorgia believed to be traveling from Kalispell back home did not arrive at a reasonable time. After multiple agency assists, the man was found to be okay and had car trouble. He made it home safely.

Deputies responded to St. Regis school for a disturbance. When they arrived, they confronted juveniles and asked them to leave. Officers reported no criminal actions were done by the juveniles and they left without any issues.

A report of disturbance on I-90 involving three males, one at gun point. Several agencies were unable to locate the vehicle.

March 20

A partner family member assault was reported and the case is under investigation.

Someone called in a possible drunk driver, but deputies were unable to locate the driver.

Methamphetamine was dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office and officers destroyed it.

A fire on I-90 in the eastbound lane at milemarker 71 determined to be a flare up from controlled burn. The fire was put out and no further action taken.

Bar checks completed to ensure that they were following closure protocol.

March 21

A hit-and-run in St. Regis was reported but when officers arrived, the caller had left and there was no further action.

A disturbance at the travel center in St. Regis resulted in deputies responding. The told the man not to return.

A partner family member assault and an assault with weapon resulted in investigations being launched.

A theft at St. Regis school is being investigated.

Montana Highway Patrol responded to a motor vehicle accident in St. Regis.

A vehicle was stolen in Superior, case under investigation.

Suspicious activity at the Mineral Community Hospital had deputies on the scene and they escorted the male off the property.

A missing person, multiple case agency case is still open and under investigation.

A possible endangered man from Lake County who was believed to be in the county was later found OK in Idaho.
