With Montana high school district play looming in the near future, the Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat squad continued to stake its claim to a high playoff seeding.

Thursday night they ran their season record to 10-3 with an overwhelming performance in Victor in which Hot Springs wracked up 29 kills in a 3-0 match sweep of the Lady Pirates.

Hot Springs opened the match by jumping out front of their hosts early, then coasting to a 25-14 win in game one.

Things steadily got worse for Victor the rest of the way.

In addition to the 29 match kills, the Lady Savage Heat relied on superior serving, recording 11 service aces in the three game match.

Game two was also controlled by Hot Springs, this time a 25-13 win that gave them a seemingly insurmountable 2-0 match lead. They wrapped up the match with a 25-11 victory in game three.

The kill shot assault by the Lady Savage Heat was paced by high-flying junior Katelyn Christensen who had nine spikes to go with five digs and one ace for the match.

Junior teammate Lily Winn also had an impressive match, recording six kills, three service aces, two blocks and three digs on the night. Senior Savannah Roosma also had a standout evening with three aces, six kills, three assists, two blocks and three digs.

Senior standout Lizzy Fisher added four aces, two kills and had nine assists for Hot Springs.
