Hot Springs spikers sweep Darby

They opened with a streak of four wins and now they have another one going.

The Hot Springs volleyballers made it two in a row Saturday with a convincing afternoon road win over Darby.

A host of players had impressive performances for the Lady Savage Heat as they swept the match three games to none, led by the 15 assists and two blocks from Lizzy Fisher.

In all three games, the Lady Heat started strong and finished strong. They won the opening game 25-15, then took command of the match in game two with a 25-14 victory.

Behind a solid team effort, Hot Springs closed out the match with a 25-13 win to lift their season mark to 6-1.

In addition to Fisher’s outstanding game, Lily Winn scored 10 kills to go with her three digs. Senior Savannah Roosma had another all-around game for Hot Springs with three service aces, six kills, seven assists and two blocks.

Junior Katelyn Christensen also had another solid game, posting seven kills, four blocks and four digs on the afternoon.

Hot Springs returns home Thursday evening for a match with Seely-Swan.
