Mineral County Sheriff Mike Toth reported the search for Rebekah Barsotti continues.

Barsotti, 33, and her dog, Cerb, went missing sometime on or after July 20. Toth said Barsotti and her dog haven’t been seen since the afternoon of Tuesday, July 20.

“She was last seen at Town Pump in Superior around 2:15 p.m. on the 20th of July,” Toth wrote in a social media post.

Toth said Barsotti’s vehicle and some personal items along with items that she had her dog with her, were all found at milemarker 71 on Interstate 90 by the Clark Fork River near Alberton.”

In a July 26 social media post, Toth reported the dog had been found dead in the Clark Fork by the Mineral County Search and Rescue team, about 10 miles downriver from where authorities believe Barsotti and the animal went into the water.

"I requested Missoula County Sheriff’s Office to take over the investigation and they have the remains and will take them to a veterinarian that specializes in these cases," Toth wrote. "We are still searching for Rebekah. The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Dive team was back helping in the search. I also requested Two Bear Air helicopter back to help do an air search of the river."

Toth expressed his thanks to the outside agencies for their man power and expertise in this type of case and the Mineral County SAR team.

"They have been out everyday and working hard to help find Rebekah."

Toth said if anyone has any information to contact Mineral County Dispatch at 406-822-3555.
