NOTICE Beginning July 15, 2021 work will commence on the Yellowstone Pipeline span removal project upstream of Thompson Falls. This work will require the transport of large equipment on barges to and from the work areas on the islands and the staging area at the old mill site in Thompson Falls. Work schedules will be 10 hours per day, 6 days per week, with estimated project completion in late September. The Clark Fork River will remain passable but restricted by the large size of vessels. PUBLIC MEETING Sanders County is now reviewing a request for a change of use permit and variance in the Limited Development Area of the Plains Airport. The proposed use change is from residential to the sewer lagoon facility, a prohibited use. The project is located off Helterline Lane, west of the Town of Plains, in Section 21, Township 20N, Range 26W, P.P.M. A public meeting will be held July 29, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the Commissioners Conference Room, in the Sanders County Courthouse which is handicapped accessible in Thompson Falls, Montana. At which time all interested person(s) will be given an opportunity to comment. The project is implementation of corrective measures in accordance with Montana Hazardous Waste Permit 14-01, located at the former tie treating plant site in Paradise, Section 20, T.19N., R.25W.
