Sanders County seeks board members; plans training May 13

Sanders County has a number of board openings and is also planning leadership training sessions for members of its committees and boards.

On Thursday, May 13, there will be two free training sessions at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the county fairgrounds pavilion in Plains.

The speaker will be Dan Clark, director - MSU Local Government.

Topics will include board basics, effective meetings, board member liability, meeting agendas and minutes, state Code of Ethics, open meeting laws and principles of good governance. There will also be a question and answer session.

Coffee, tea and cookies will be provided. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to Kathy Conklin at 827-6942 or kconklin@co.sanders.mt.us.
