Sharon Ann Wilson

Sharon Ann Wilson, 79, longtime Plains and Hot Springs resident, left this world peacefully on Feb. 23, 2023. Sharon was born to Floyd and Signe Wilson on Sept. 11, 1943 in Clarkfork, Idaho.

At age 3 the family left Hope, Idaho and moved to Camas Prairie. She resided in housing provided at Diehl’s Lumber mill and camp where her father was employed. In the fifth grade she moved to Missoula for a short time with her family and back to Plains where she graduated from high school in 1962. She attended business college in Missoula then returned to Hot Springs where she worked at the hospital and nursing home.

She returned to Plains after her mother’s death and continued to reside there until her death. One of her proudest moments was being named Grand Marshal of the Sanders County Fair and being honored at the rodeo. She was also awarded MHSA fan of the year for her attendance at sporting events at Plains.

She is proceeded in death by her sister, Arlene Ross and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Becky Malatare (John) of Arlee and her grandchildren Whitney, Morgan & Phillip and great grandchild Sloane. Also, her brother Jim (Debra), sister Judy Clairmont (Jim) and many nieces and nephews.

Her friendship and smile will be missed by many. A celebration of life per her request will be announced at a later date. Thank you to the individuals that showed her kindness and friendship over the years. She loved you all.
