Mountain Cats win; St. Regis/Mullan falls short at Dreary

The Clark Fork Mountain Cats faced the Mission Bulldogs in a Friday home conference football game in Alberton, and the Mountain Cats earned a sound 60-44 win.

“The guys played really well. Our line, which includes seniors Michael Spence and Korey Radford, did really well which allowed our other guys to take advantage. They really opened things up for us,” said Head Coach Jeff Schultz.

Trey Green rushed for 220 yards on 26 carries, and had 18 tackles along with an onside kick recovery and a sack.

Quarterback Bryan Mask had four touchdowns, rushing for 206 yards. On defense, he had an interception and 12 tackles.

Isaiah Kovolsky caused five turnovers, intercepting two Mission passes. He also scored three touchdowns. Houston Coon had 15 tackles for the Mountain Cats.

Clark Fork had 458 yards on offense.

Schultz said the team is doing will with both rushing and passing with an average of 10 yards per carry.

ST. REGIS/MULLAN, IDAHO co-op traveled to Dreary, Idaho, on Friday but met defeat with a final score of 40-18. Sky Gallaway scored the St. Regis/Mullan touchdowns with over 30 rushing yards.

Coach Jesse Allan said it was a good game and the kids fought hard and didn’t give up. They “just struggled to string drives together,” he said.
