The Clark Fork Mountain Cats boys made school history by being the first team as a co-op to travel to the Western B Divisional Tournament for basketball, Feb. 21-23. Their first game at the Maroon Activities Center in Butte was a matchup against Manhattan Christian, where Manhattan Christian won, 67-25, and went on to win the championship game over Arlee, 63-51.

The Cats played Charlo on Friday an lost 48-35, taking them out of the tournament. The Alberton/Superior co-op had won their consolation game over Victor last week, 54-53, to take second place at districts and a trip to divisionals. Head coach Erik Johnson knew Divisionals were going to be tough, and he said he was proud of his team for their accomplishments this season.

At Divisionals, Twin Bridges won over Charlo, 60-45, and challenged Arlee in a Feb. 25 game. Charlo took home the girls’ championship with a 60-55 overtim win over Arlee. State for the girls will be Feb. 28-March 2 in Great Falls. The boys head to state in Billings March 7-9.
