FedEx truck driver sentenced

Missoula County District Court Judge Dusty Deschamps sentenced New Jersey truck driver Sergey Buslayev Wednesday morning to 10 years in Montana State Prison for negligent homicide. Buslayey, 57, lost control of a FedEx tractor-trailer combination driving towards an accident scene on Interstate 90 in 2008, killing a volunteer firefighter.

Fire in Plains put out during snowstorm

Amidst an afternoon snow shower and busy traffic off Montana highway 200, the Plains Volunteer Fire Department and Plains-Paradise Rural Volunteer Fire Department put out a house fire.

With a dimming of the lights, Colin Ross and Mig O’Hara preceded to turn the Parkside Baptist Church in Superior Wednesday night into a speakeasy in the 1920s. That is, when the duo played their more blues and jazz influenced music. Throughout their concert, they also played a variety of county and folk as well.
