Mineral County Community Calendar

Dec. 12: 7 p.m. - Mineral County Conservation District meets at the MSU-Mineral County Extension Office, 301 Second Ave. E., Superior.

All meetings are open to the public. An agenda will be posted in the Conservation District Office.

Dec. 19: 7:30 p.m. - Mineral County Republican Central Committee meets at Commissioners Meeting Room in Superior.

St. Regis Resort Area Board will not be holding a meeting in December 2007. The schedule meeting will be Jan. 14, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the St. Regis Community Center.

The Superior Adult Education is offering Fit 'N' Sassy, an adult fitness class. It will be held on a drop-in basis Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the Superior Elementary School gymnasium through Dec. 15 and is free. For more information, contact Dru Winkle at 822-8233.

St. Regis Sewer District meets at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at the St. Regis Community Center.

The Superior School Board meets the second Tuesday of each month in the Superior Elementary School science room at 7:30 p.m. Agendas for the meetings are posted at Castles IGA, the Mineral County Courthouse, the Superior post office, Superior High School and Superior Elementary School.

Mineral County Pioneer Council, Inc. offers a bus service to and from Missoula twice a month. There are three stops - St. Regis, Superior, and Alberton - and the service runs the first and third Tuesday of each month. To reserve a seat and to find out times, call 649-2019 or 649-7145.

The Cabin Fever Quilters Guild meets the first Tuesday of every month. Call Sherrill Christensen 678-4240 for times and locations, as they vary.

The Mineral Community Hospital Board of Directors meets every fourth Thursday of the month. All community members are encouraged to attend.

The Superior Food Bank, at the corner of Pike and 5th Avenue, across from Eva Horning Park is open Fridays 10 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Alberton Group for Alcohol Anonymous meets at 7 p.m. each Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Alberton. Meetings are open to the public.

Historical Society/Museum committee meets every second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the museum, located at the Extension Office (Library Building at 301 2nd Ave. E.) in Superior. For more information, call Kay Strombo at 822-4626.

The AA meetings in St. Regis have moved to the Clark Fork Bible Church at 34 Tiger St. The meetings will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Mondays.
