People need to vote no on a county planning board
The den of John Day has been silent too long.
The issues of both city and county planning boards have been in the papers a very long time.
During the last county planning board public meeting it was asked if the changes being proposed would be put on the ballot.
The county attorney said, in a very loud voice, "We don't have to let you vote on it."
A group of citizens and I hit the pavement and collected enough signatures to force it onto the ballot.
I called the attorney general's office in Helena to get more information on the guidelines, laws and regulations for city and county planning boards. I received 114 pages about planning boards.
A lot of this was written back in 1946 and 1947.
How can the county formulate change on guidelines that were developed over 60 years ago?
They have been planning this a long time and the county is at it again.

As a group of informed citizens we can make a change.
