Dec. 14: 7 p.m. - Plains Christian Missionary & Alliance Church will be putting on Christmas Dessert at the church. The dessert is free and open to the public. During dessert, church members will be putting on various skits.

Although the dessert is free, it is encouraged that people get tickets from the church, so organizers know how much dessert to buy. For more information, call the church at 826-3916.

Dec. 15: 11:30 a.m. - Plains Red Hatters meet at the Second Home Restaurant along Highway 28 just outside of Hot Springs.

Dec. 16: 3 p.m. - A group of people will be traveling around Hot Springs on horseback to sing Christmas carols. Everyone invited. For more information, call Martha Vogel at 741-2680 or Starla Rice at 741-5440.

Dec. 20: 1 p.m. - Santa Claus will be visiting the resident at the Clark Fork Valley Hospital Nursing Home in Plains.

Sanders County Search and Rescue Team meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the search and rescue barn next to Thompson Falls High School's football field.

Plainly Speaking Toastmasters of Plains meets every Thursday at the Home Economics Room at the Plains High School at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend. The schedule is as follows:

Sanders County Council for the Arts meets on the second Monday of each month at First Security Bank at 10 a.m.
