Mary Madeline Kaye

Mary Madeline Kaye, known as "Madge", 88 of Plains passed away Monday, July 28 at Lake View Care Center in Big Fork, MT. She was born January 16, 1920 in Plummerville, AR to Roy & Ann O'Roark Venable. During the War she worked alongside her mother in the shipyards in Portland, OR. as a welder. Madge was a war widow with three children when she met and married Walfred J. Kaye in Portland, OR on July 1, 1950. He adopted the three children and provided love and nurture to them the rest of his life. They started out in Malta, spent a brief time in Bozeman and finally settling in Missoula. They moved to Superior in the early 1980's and later to Plains in 1995.She was an excellent seamstress and was involved in many organizations alongside her husband. She is survived by two sons: Daniel Kaye of Port Angeles, WA and Gerald (Beverly) Kaye of Big Fork, MT. 14 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren. Memorial Services will be Monday, August 4 at 11AM at the Plains United Methodist Church, Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Hills Funeral Homes in Plains.
