Moved back to ranch. He cleared land, sold cord wood to Whitefish. Attended Bissell school, then made foot bridge over the river. Sister Frances was born, but didn’t remember her as we never let me see her till she was quite grown.

I attended Whitefish school 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Rode in taxies, old home, made buses. Had pole bridge foot bridge over Stillwater River, also a home made wooden boat. Trail through the woods to the highway.

Sister Frances lived in town, boarded with town folks and graduated form high school. Then took off to Washington, Oregon and California.

These days were very low prices. Moved from Whitefish on March 21, 1948 to Sanders County. To the Susan and Ed Red Fern Ranch and improved the property fences. Put new well and pressure system.
