Hot Springs downs Noxon in 3

The Noxon Lady Red Devils went up against their District 10-C foes the Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat on Friday.

Hot Springs won the match in three games, 25-16, 25-16 and 25-10. With the win, Hot Springs received first place in District 10-C regular season play with a record of 10-1 in conference play and 15-1 overall. They will take the top seed at the district tournament which starts Friday in St. Regis.

The Noxon Lady Red Devils had eight kills and Lindsey Franz collected half of them, they had two blocks with Franz collecting one and Merissa Osoborrie collecting the other. As for digs Noxon had 14, with Stephanie Larkin digging up five of them. The team had eight assists and Shelby Swant had six of them. There were two aces of the Lady Red Devils and Rachel Stettler and Chandler Wilkinson each had one.

For the Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat the team had 29 kills and Matea DePoe collected nine of them, there were also four blocks for the team. As for digs the Lady Savage Heat had 23 with DePoe and MacKenzie Wood each collecting five. As for assists Hot Springs had 21 with MacKenzie Wood collecting an impressive 20 assists of her own. In the aces department both MacKenzie Wood and Whitney Wood dominating. MacKenzie Wood had four of the team’s 12 aces and Whitney Wood had three.

Both Noxon and Hot Springs will compete this Friday and Saturday at the District 10-C district championships in St. Regis.
