Carl E. Diesen

PLAINS - Carl E. Diesen went home to heaven on Oct. 14, 2008. He was born July 29, 1938 in Minnewaukan, ND to Harold & Ella Diesen. In 1952 the family moved to Glasgow. From there they moved to Whitefish and Eureka. In 1962 Carl moved to Seattle.

Carl served nine years in the National Guard out of Whitefish.

Carl was an auto mechanic by trade. He started in the business when new cars were shipped to the dealers in crates & the mechanics completely built the car on sight.

Carl loved to bowl. That was his one passion. For almost 20 years he coached little league bowling. He always referred to the kids as 'His Kids'. He also enjoyed playing Pinochle.

On Aug. 20, 1966 he married Nancy Scott at Kalispell. They had one daughter, Debra.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy at home. His daughter, Debra (Robert) Howard & one step granddaughter, Brianna in San Antonio, Texas. Brothers, Harlan, Wayne and Harold, and a sister, Ina. He was preceded in death by parents, two sets of twin sisters and a brother, Lee.

Carl retired to Plains in 2002.
