Ellery Lee Williams

PLAINS — Ellery Lee Williams, was born on March 24, 1941 in Everett, Wash., and went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2008.

He served his country in the United States Air Force from June 1958 until his retirement on April 30, 1982.

He served as a Fabrication and Parachute Supervisor for 23 years. During his service career, he was decorated with multiple honors, medals and commendations.

While in his country’s service he met Martha VeraLee O’Connell. Ellery married her in Logansport, Ind. and adopted her children. Together they raised Martha’s five children —

Son: George Ellery (Gina) Williams of Clearlake Oaks, Calif.; granddaughters, Maria Kristine, KaitlinTranise, Misty Lynn, and grandson Matthew Lee.

Son: David Wayne Williams of Plains, grandson Kristafer Robin Williams

Daughter: Debra Sue (Edward Wayne Foste) of Plains; granddaughters, Amanda Gwen, Bonnie Jolene, and grandsons Christopher Michael and James Ellery.

Daughter: Leanna Lynn (David Paul Farrar) of Plains; grandson Justin Allen, and granddaughter Jeanna Lee.

Son: Hubert Daniel of Plains.

He is also survived by 14 Great Grandchildren, his sister Carol Ann and his Great Aunt Janice Williams.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10 at the St James Catholic Church at 11 a.m. in Plains. Graveside service with Military honors were held Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at 11 a.m.
