Accidental shooting occurs in Paradise

A 66-year old man accidently shot himself in the stomach on Wednesday night in Paradise. Robert Willard of Paradise, accidently shot himself with a .62 caliber pistol. He was unable to apply pressure to the wound, and the emergency services were notified at approximately 7:30 p.m. where the Plains ambulance transported him to Clark Fork Valley Hospital, where he was then transferred to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula.

As of Monday he was still in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU).

The Sanders County Sheriff’s office ruled the scene an accident and determined that no crime had occurred unless new evidence is presented.
