Noxon Lady Red Devils vs. St. Regis Lady Tigers

The Noxon Lady Red Devils had a strong showing against their District 14-C rivals the St. Regis Lady Tigers Saturday evening.

The Lady Red Devils won the contest 57-37, after an especially strong showing in the second quarter. The first quarter started with St. Regis coming out on top 13-12, however Noxon did not let them keep that lead for long as they came out and scored 19 points in the second quarter as opposed to six by St. Regis. After the half, Noxon continued their dominance in the third quarter as they scored 14 points compared to St. Regis’ five. Things slowed down for the Lady Red Devils in the final quarter of the game as they were outscored 13-12, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap.

Fouls were abundent throughout the game as Noxon was 13-for-43 from the line, while the Lady Tigers were 16-for-36.

Lady Red Devil Kim Marich had a season high 15 points, Stephanie Larkin had 10, Shelby Swant had eight, Cara Stettler had six, Ashley Wiltse had five, Lindsey Franz had four, Chandler Wilkinson had four, Sarah Marich had three, and Rachel Stettler had two.

Noxon Red Devils vs. St. Regis Tigers

The Noxon Red Devils came out on top against their District 14-C foes, the St. Regis Tigers Saturday evening.

Noxon won the game 45-38, and even though they won, St. Regis had a strong showing and made it difficult for the Red Devils to gain any momentum during the game.

Hot Springs Savage Heat vs. Superior Lady Bobcats

The Hot Springs Savage Heat continued their undefeated streak against the Superior Lady Bobcats at home Friday night.

The Savage Heat were just no match for their District 14-C rivals as they came out on top 66-23.

In the first quarter Hot Springs came out and scored 26 points as opposed to the 6 from Superior. In the second quarter Superior once again scored six points, while Hot Springs slowed their pace down and scored 13. However, the Savage Heat came out swining after the half as they held Superior to three points and were able to score 20 of their own. In the fourth Hot Springs scored seven and Superior scored eight, the first time in the game where Hot Springs was outscored in a quarter by their opponents.

MacKenzie Wood was the high scorer for the heat with 23 points. Randi Arnold had 16, 12 of which came in the first quarter. Matea DePoe had seven, Jocelyn Erchul, Meghan Massingale and Whitney Wood each had five, Jordon Fisher had four and Riley Pavelich had one.

Hot Springs Savage Heat vs. Superior Bobcats

The Hot Springs Savage Heat picked up a huge win against their District 14-C rivals at home Friday evening.

The Savage Heat were able to hold off the previously undefeated Superior Bobcats to take the 50-47 win.

Hot Springs came out with a strong first half. The Savage Heat scored nine points in the first quarter and 16 in the second, all while holding Superior to six points in the first quarter and nine in the second. However, after the half the Bobcats came out strong as they scored 16 points in the third quarter compared to Hot Springs’ 12 and then also scored 16 points in the fourth quarter, while Hot Springs scored 13. While the game was close, the Savage Heat were just too much for Superior.

Reiley Winebrenner led the Savage Heat with 19 points, Blake Herman had 15, Nick Malinak had nine, Trevor Bras had five, and Cody Hoff had two.

Thompson Falls Lady Hawks vs. Charlo Lady Vikings

The Thompson Falls Lady Hawks just couldn’t keep up with the Charlo Lady Vikings Thursday night at home.

The District 7-B Lady Hawks lost to the District 14-C Lady Vikings 40-25.

Thompson Falls was only behind 7-5 after the first quarter, but Charlo came out strong in the second scoring 15 points as compared to Thompson Falls’ four. After the half the Lady Hawks couldn’t gain any momentum as they scored eight points in each the third and fourth quarters, while Charlo had quarters of six and 12.

Karli Cavill was the lead scorer for the Lady Hawks with 13 while Rheanna Padden and Makayla Becker each had five. Katelyn Jedlicka and Hannah Peters each had one.

Thompson Falls Bluehawks vs. Charlo Vikings

The District 7-B Thompson Falls Bluehawks were able to hold off the District 14-C Charlo Vikings Friday night at Charlo.

Thompson Falls was able to build a 28-19 lead at the half, and the Vikings just couldn’t come back from the deficit. After the half the Bluehawks came out and scored 21 points compared to Charlo’s 13, and even after Charlo out scored Thompson Falls 20-13 in the fourth, it just wasn’t enough to come back.

Chuck Clark was the high scorer for the Bluehawks with 22, Mike Wood had 10, John Buckingham had nine, Dillon Gerstenberger had six, Skyler Kinkade had six, Charlie Knapp had four, Jesser Mosher and Chris Molzhon each had two and Nate Nigh had one.
