American Legion to hold spring meeting

The American Legion of Montana will hold their spring meeting of District 4 on Saturday, March 29. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at the Eagles Lodge located at 37 First Street West in Kalispell. The Department program will begin at 10 a.m.

    A joint banquet will begin at noon with Department Commander Elmer Palmer of Lolo as guest speaker.

The business meetings begin at 1:30 p.m. with District Commander wledon Cummins of Fortine conducting the Legion meeting. District President Janie Orr of Libby will conduct the Auxiliary meeting.

Ron Boespflug, Commander of American Legion Post #137 in Kalispell said about 100 Legionnaires and members of the auxiliary are expected to attend. Boespflug said there are about 1,000 Legionnaires in District 4 with posts in Kalispell, Thompson Falls, Columbia Falls, Eureka, Bigfork, Libby, St. Ignatius, Whitefish, Polson, Charlo, Paradise, Ronan and Troy.
