The Noxon Red Devils beat the Lincoln Lynx for their second win of the season at home on Friday.  The game began fast paced with Bryant Eaton quickly scoring the first touchdown of the game.  Noxon missed the extra point field goal and started the game off 6-0.

Lincoln quickly reciprocated and scored a touchdown shortly after following up with a two-point conversion marking the game 8-6 at the end of the first quarter.

Keeping the score close at the opening of the second quarter, Noxon blew ahead for the win, with the final score 41-22.

Noxon head coach Greg Misner was happy with the win and thought the team played really well.

“We are expecting a win every game, but we take it one game at a time and we are looking pretty good so far,” said Misner.

The big improvement for the Red Devil’s in the game on Friday was their passing skills after struggling with it in the past few weeks.  On top of that Misner was pleased with their pass protection.

Misner was also impressed with the rushing yards that accumulated throughout the game.  Junior Byrant Eaton had 191 yards on 12 carries and Junior Adam Moore had 133 rushing yards and 14 carries.

Noxon is set to take on Victor for their homecoming match this Friday.
