On Saturday the Trotters more than held their own against Florence at the net outblocking the eagles 17-4 behind Kayla Revier’s 11 blocks. However, the problem came in the deep corners where Florence was able to successfully bury their hits time after time leading to a 25-26, 25-21, 25-15 victory for the Falcons.

“The biggest strength that they had was hitting the deep corners and we were just not comfortable with that,” says Sophomore Laurel Danhoff.

By the end of the game Florence had out dug the Trotters 60-10. The goal for the Trotters says Danhoff is now to “just keep going, it doesn’t matter how many you lose, as long as you learn from it.”

Kylee Knudson led Plains in digs with 10, while Heather Earhart and Nikki Kunzer both had three assists. Three Trotters ended the day with two kills a piece tallying six of the team’s eight kills.

Plains next plays Superior at home on Thursday.
