Murder mystery in Superior

The St. Regis boys out-golfed Superior on Thursday at Bigfork. They wound up in eighth place overall with 443 points, Superior falling just behind them with 468. Tiger golfer Zane Worrall, who has already qualified for state, ended up in eighth place in the top ten individual standings with a score of 87. He also golfed well on Saturday in Plains finishing out the day with 86 overall and winding up in ninth place in the top ten individual standings.

On Thursday, fellow golfers also ended the day well, contributing to the overall win against rival Superior. Shad Hotchkiss went 58 and 52 finishing out the day with 110. Josh Slavin came out of Bigfork with a score of 122, while teammate Rich Shadrick fell just behind that with a 124. Spur Hill went 87 and 70 managing an overall score of 157.

At Bigfork, golfer Shelby Berg went 70 and 68 finishing out the day with a 138. At Plains, Berg ended up in the top ten standings with an eighth place victory with a score of 110. Berg improved dramatically on Saturday with the score of 110, having scored in the upper 130s also back on April 8 at the Loyola Invitational.

Golfers will be in Wallace on April 21 and at Thompson Falls on April 24. The golfers will play in St. Regis at Trestle Creek on Thursday, May 6 at the only in-county golf tournament for both St. Regis and Superior.
