The Lady Bobcats lost both of their games this past weekend, but putting that aside Coach Jeff Schultz said they had a pretty good run Friday night against Valley Christian.

The girls played at home on Friday night and trailed behind by four points most of the game despite losing at the end, 41 to 60. Schultz said that the opponent made good use of the shots from the foul line.

“They made 11 of 18 shots from the foul line in the fourth quarter alone,” he said. “We fouled them trying to get the ball back and they made good use of them.”

Despite losing, Schultz said that he was really impressed with how the girls played on Friday night.

“We played really tough on Friday night. Our defense was good and we rebounded the ball nicely.”

Tamara Rennick and Jessica Taylor each had 8 points on Friday night. Rennick had five steals and rebounded the ball nine times.

On Saturday, the girls played against Deer Lodge at Deer Lodge and lost 37 to 68. Schulz said that the game was not one of their better ones.

“We weren’t moving our feet on defense and offense wasn’t taking care of the ball,” he said.

Jessica Taylor led with 13 points Saturday night. The Lady Bobcats will play at home on January 14 against Loyola.
