To those involved in the hitting of our dog

To the gentleman who ran over the dog on Helterline Lane on Tuesday Jan. 19. It was not your fault and we have no idea what you could have done to avoid the accident. Thank you for stopping and getting out of the truck.

To the lady who was walking in the area, we are so sorry you had to witness the accident. We are sure it ‘messed up’ the rest of your day.

Our little dog was seldom off the leash except once in awhile in the back yard. Whatever caused him to run around the house, clear across the front yard and into the road we will never know.

We will be getting another Shih-Tzu in the near future. It will either be a ‘rescue’ dog like Marty or we are lined up for the possibility of a pup. We already have it named. I hope the rest of your year goes better.
