Three place at state for Hot Springs
The three senior stars that have shined all year long on the track all have some hardware to show off proving that they are among the state's best.
It was Reiley Winebrenner who led the way, fighting through a cold and rainy Friday, to place in both hurdles races, third in the 300 hurdles and fourth in the 110s.

It was Reiley Winebrenner who led the way, fighting through a cold and rainy Friday, to place in both hurdles races, third in the 300 hurdles and fourth in the 110s.
In the 300 hurdles, it was a familar foe and a familar name that ended up edging out Winebrenner. Caleb Dick of Harlowtown won the event last year and this year and Cody Nietshke of Charlo was barely able to edge Winebrenner after he hit the last hurdle in the race throwing off his rhythym just enough for Nietshke.
"We knew he had to run a 39 to beat that big kid out of Harlowtown and it didn't happen," said Coach Dustin Herbert. Winebrenner finished the race with a time of 40.91.
Winebrenner finished the 110s with a time of 15.91s.
Competing in five events, Winebrenner has also dominated in the 400 this year and won the event in Divisionals, but didn't place at state after the cold weather factored into his time.
"He was cold. He said he couldn't even feel his feet," said Coach Herbert.
Winebrenner also competed on the mile relay team and after wowing spectators at the Divisional Level and placing second the team barely missed out on the medal stand after placing seventh.
The team finished with a time of 3:40, which was about five seconds slower than their time at Divisionals.
"If we could have duplicated our divisional performance we would have been sitting in second place," said Coach Herbert.
On the girls side, both Randi Arnold and Devon White placed in the triple jump with White cracking 34 feet and placing third and Arnold leaping 33-7 and placing fourth.
With those three seniors placing, it was the most state placings that Coach Herbert has seen in his four-year tenure as coach. This comes one week after the team brought the most athletes to the state meet in his tenure as coach.
"Overall it was a good year," said Coach Herbert.
