The organizers of the Find Your Fun Walk and Run would like to thank all those who took part in and helped with the diabetes awareness event on May 22nd. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans enabled us to make this a free and community based program through a grant. They also provided volunteers who helped with food, setting up and distributing information to the public.

The Clark Fork Valley Runners club donated funds that were used for the purchase of prizes.

The First Security and Rocky Mountain Banks provided information related to Health and Medical Savings Accounts as well as donating prizes. Jeff at Western Building Center also rounded up some popular prizes. The Runners Edge of Missoula helped with prizes and the organization of the event. The Clark Fork Valley Hospital provided free testing and information concerning Diabetes and representatives from St. Pat's hospital, and Health Care Plus travelled from Missoula and Polson to share what they know about Diabetes care.

The Cub Scouts, U.S. Forest Service, Take Off Pounds Safely (TOPS), Curves, Back Country Horsemen, McGowans, Lions Club and Kathy Legard presented information about fun ways to stay active for all age groups and dietary needs.

The Fair Grounds looked great too. Thanks to Kim McNeil and the gang who help him.

Diabetes can be a challenge, but it sure is nice to know we live a great place to take care of it.

Thank you very much,

John Haines
