The third season of the Thompson Falls Market launches this Saturday, June 26th from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on the west lot of the Falls Motel.

"The Thompson Falls Market has become a weekly gathering place for Sanders County residents and visitors," says Katrina Campbell, market coordinator and co-owner of the Falls Motel.

The market has been hosted by the Falls Motel since the summer of 2008.

"Each year the market has grown exponentially and we predict that this season will offer a wider variety and will attract even more visitors. It has truly become a incubator for new businesses as well as a regular point of sale for vendors who are more established. We're proud to see the Thompson Falls Market flourish," shares Jackie Burgess, market PetFest chairperson and supporter.

Opening day will feature over twenty-five vendors selling a variety of baked goods, early season produce, fused glass home décor, quilted handbags, painted ceramics, hand tooled leather goods and artwork.

The Thompson Falls Chamber of Commerce is the featured non-profit group. They will be selling Circus tickets and other items to raise funds for the 2011 flowers along Main Street as well as providing information about the organization.

Three vendors will be hosting special prize drawings at their booths. Attendees can sign up to win a fused glass cutting board by Sue Cooperman, handmade pottery item by new vendor Patti Jones and a hand made quilted duffel bag with matching carry all by artist Diane Laube.

Furthermore, shoppers are encouraged to sign up to win Market Money. All vendors will have Market Money entry forms and baskets at their booths Shoppers fill out these forms for a chance to win $1.00-$3.00 per week to spend at a future 2010 market day.

The 2010 season will offer a variety of new events including: July 24, Pet Fest, August 28 ,Brownie Bake Off, September 11, Tomato Festival and on closing day, September 25, Cinnamon Roll Challenge.

If residents of Sanders County want a weekly notification of what vendors will be attending and what they are brining each week, they can sign up to receive the weekly eNewsletter, which is emailed each week on Thursday afternoon, by going to the website www.ThompsonFallsMarket.com or emailing contact information to manager@thomsponfallslodging.com.
