Coach John Revier of the Plains Horsemen answers some questions reflecting on the great season of his team.

What is your final overall record and conference record?

20-6 overall and 16-2 conference

What is your favorite moment of the basketball season?

Starting out the season by winning the Sanders County Tourney and finishing in third place at the divisional tourney. The team started the season with a trophy and ended the season with a trophy.

In what areas did you see the most improvement?

The next week after District Tourney the team pulled together and got ready for the challenge, which was the Divisional Tournament. I would say that team unity was the best improvement.

When and how did you see great character exhibited by your team?

The character of this team came together after a team meeting following the hard loss to Thompson Falls. The team really pulled together at practice in preparation for the Divisinal Tournament. This team showed its true heart by the way they played at the Divisional Tournament in which they took the 3rd place trophy home.

Who is the most unsung hero and why?

Darin Anderson. This young gentleman did not get much playing time, but practiced as if he was a starter or pushing to become a starter. He never had a bad word to say and had the respect of the rest of the team. In the team voting for Mr. Hustle, Darin missed this honor by one vote. This shows the respect he has among his peers.

Who were the seniors on your team and what is something special you can say about them?

This year's team had six seniors: Kyle Hermiston, Dillon Fryxel, Bryce Benson, Darin Anderson, Trent Thompson and Brian Green. This group of seniors showed what team unity was all about on senior night as some of the seniors came to me as the coach and asked to be sat down and not start so one of their fellow seniors (Darin Anderson) could start the game.

Do you have other comments on your season?

This group of seniors and team has set the bar for next year's team to achieve pretty high. These seniors leave the program with a combined record of 41 wins, 9 losses (21-3 last year, 20-6 this year).

Who is your MVP of the year and what is special about that player?

The player voted MVP by the team was Trent Thompson but as a coach it's hard to single out just one player. I have yet to see a score board that puts the score up of a player and not the team. Every point scored goes under Plains Horsemen. This was a special team with its six seniors. Each brought something special to the team.
