Important election information

Soon we will be voting for the next Sheriff of Sanders County.

Soon we will be voting for the next Sheriff of Sanders County.

After carefully reading the information given to us though the county papers there were a couple things not mentioned that may be confusing as the election approaches. Doug Dryden is running as an Independent, thus, his name will not appear on your June 8 ballot. The other three candidates are running against each other as Republicans.

Unfortunately, there is not even a space to write in Dryden's name. His name will be on the ballot in November running against the winning Republican.

I hadn't seen any signs up for Doug either though I had seen a number for the other candidates. I had the opportunity to ask his wife why, as we all know that getting one's name out is important.

She told me that because he is not on the ballot in May, by law, he can not put signs up until 90 days before the November election.

Ahh, now I know and I'm glad I asked the question. By checking out drydenforsheriff.com you can see first hand that we have a well experienced man of high caliber and character who desires to represent Sanders County as out next sheriff.

Please read through the site for yourself as you get ready to case your vote.
