Charlie Knapp, known for his leaping ability, continues to burn up the 400 getting closer and closer to the state lead in all classes.

His time of 50.07 was almost one and a half seconds faster than the second place finisher and is only 3/10 of a second slower than the state leader, Anto Daoud of Whitefish who has a time of 49.77.

After the 400 Stephen Block won the 800, finally rounding into form after suffering a foot injury early in the year.

He took home first place with a time of 2:13.06.

Block also took home first place in the pole vault dominating the competition with a jump of 13-6.

Then in the longer events Ryan Humphrey continued his torrid long distance streak by sweeping both the mile and two-mile races with times of 4:46.12 and 10:43.86.

Will Dalby was the last Bluehawk to grab a first place medal by taking home the javelin crown with a throw of 179-0.

By taking home seven first-place finishes the Bluehawks amassed a whopping 184 points, over 80 more points than second place Bigfork.

On the girls' side, Elizabeth Fairweather led nine Ladyhawks, who placed individually at the meet, with a first place finish in the shot put.

She hurled the shot put with a throw of 31-4.

Freshman Hope Reid also excelled at the District Meet by placing in all five of her events with three second place finishes, a third place finish and a fourth place finish.

Now the team will concentrate on the Divisional Meet at Big Sky Highschool in Missoula starting on Friday.
