Thompson Falls graduate receives Plum Creek Scholarship

COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. - Plum Creek has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Thompson Falls High School graduate Kelly Butler. Plum Creek annually awards scholarships to exemplary high school seniors who plan to continue their education after graduation. Students are selected based on their academic achievements, participation in extracurricular activities and career goals.

COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. - Plum Creek has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Thompson Falls High School graduate Kelly Butler. Plum Creek annually awards scholarships to exemplary high school seniors who plan to continue their education after graduation. Students are selected based on their academic achievements, participation in extracurricular activities and career goals.

Kelly, daughter of Bobbi and Nelson Butler of Thompson Falls, plans to study nursing at Montana State University in Bozeman. A member of the National Honor Society, Kelly serves on the Student Council. She also participates in cheerleading and track.

This year, Plum Creek awarded 122 scholarships totaling $167,000 to high school seniors in 13 states. In Montana, 35 students received scholarships totaling $57,000.
