Lions Club looking for rodeo junior princess

The Superior Lions Club is currently looking for a junior princess in addition to a princess and queen to reign over their very popular rodeo scheduled for Friday, August 6th and Saturday, August 7th.

The competition for rodeo junior princess is open to all Mineral County young women between the ages of 13 and 20 who have been residents of the county for 6 months or who attend a Mineral County high school or junior high/middle school.

Applicants must show evidence of involvement in community service and have horsemanship skills.

The winning candidate will ride with Princess Kaylee Crabb and queen Tyler Cheeseman, in the Mineral County Fair Parade and in Lions Rodeo events.

The Lions Rodeo Junior Princess will be selected by Lions Club members after reviewing applications and riding skills. Rodeo Princess Kaylee will receive $150.00 and Queen Tyler $200.00 to help defray the cost of their outfits.

The winner of the Junior Princess competition will receive $50.00 and will be next in line of succession to be Princess in 2011 and Queen in 2012.

All three members of the royal court will also receive a $50.00 gift certificate to Cenex Harvest States in Missoula.

Genuine silver crowns for the princess and queen will be provided by Lincoln's Silver Dollar Bar.

Custom sashes for all three members of the royalty will be made by Wendy Russ who has received national recognition for making sashes for Oprah Winfrey and is the official supplier for pageants like Mrs. World, Miss American Beauty and Miss Teen America, to name a few.

The deadline to apply for Superior Lions Rodeo Junior Princess 2010 is June 15.

Applications for Rodeo Princess will be available on May 19th at all Mineral County junior high/middle schools, high schools and at the following locations:
