Here is some exciting information about Altacare at Trout Creek School.  Trout Creek School Altacare Program was awarded the North Western Program of the Year from Altacare/Acadia of Montana.  This was a great honor as Trout Creek School is one of the smallest schools in the state with Altacare.  The entire student body will celebrate with a Root beer Float Party during an awards ceremony next week.

Altacare is a school based Mental Health Model that serves kids all over the state.  Altacare/Acadia of Montana has contracts with 112 schools in Montana.  Funding comes mostly through Healthy Montana Kids Plus and other private insurance carriers.  Altacare provides therapy and support every day in the school setting and a summer program each year.  It also provides crisis intervention to any student at Trout Creek School.  It is staffed by therapist: Tammy Denton Clark, LCSW [Licensed Clinical Social Worker] and Behavioral Specialist: Aime’e Hanley, MHA [Mental Health Associate].  Tammy and Aime’e work closely with Principal Daisy Carlsmith and all the teachers and staff at the school.  Most of the schools in Sanders County have Altacare [Dixon, Noxon, Plains, Thompson Falls Elementary, Middle School and High School and Trout Creek]
