Mineral County Election Results

The Mineral County Elections are finally over. Below are the results of the race:

House District 14:

Rep. Gordon Hendrick defeated former Mineral County Commissioner Judy Stang 2,814 to 1,295 votes, a margin of 68.5 percent to 31.5 percent.

East End County Commissioner:

Roman Zylawy defeated Democrat Walt Brovold, 1,357 votes to 420, or 76 to 24 percent.

Sheriff:

Ernie Ornelas won 62 percent of the votes Tuesday.

Ornelas had 600 votes, Tim Vulles 296 and Charlie Everson, an independent write-in candidate, 132.

County Attorney

Marcia Boris defeated Shaun Donovan, 1,163 votes to 667.

Treasurer/ Superintendant of Schools:

Mary Yarnall defeated Anna Getz, 970 votes to 862, or 53 to 47 percent.

Deputy Clerk and Recorder:

Staci Hayes defeated Jessica Connolly for County Clerk and Recorder, 1,011 to 775 votes, a margin of 56.6 to 43.4 percent. 

Justice of the Peace

Wanda James defeated Muriah Alexander by 1,005 to 752 votes.
