Grants offered by MCCF and Old Schoolhouse Rock
Grants of up to $500 will be offered to community organizations located and serving Mineral County. Applicants do not necessarily need to be officially recognized as non-profits, but must demonstrate that their focus is on a charitable service to the people and communities of Mineral County.
The grants will be available to both new applicants as well as recipients from prior years.
A grant committee will review applications based on merits of the program or project and the ability of the organization itself to successfully administer the program. The application process is fairly straightforward, though prior recipients will be asked to document how prior money was spent.
Application forms are available from the Mineral County Community Foundation link, http://community.mtcf.org/netcommunity/mineral to the Montana Community Foundation website, by written request to MCCF/PO Box 93/Superior MT 59872, or by email at jgossorcreich@blackfoot.net. Applications are due by Nov. 30 and awards will be announced at the beginning of next year.
Money available for these awards is a combination of funds from the Old Schoolhouse Rock car show, held annually in June, and Mineral County Community Foundation funds from an endowment with the Montana Community Foundation.
