The Superior Ranger District would like to alert the public that construction on the Trout Creek Road gravel project will begin this fall.  The project involves crushing road gravel at the Cedar Creek Pit and placing gravel on Trout Creek Road 250 from the end of the pavement just beyond the old Diamond Mill to Hoodoo Pass.  Construction will begin shortly before Oct. 1, and will continue until snowfall.  Road construction will resume in 2011 after snowmelt, and continue until early Aug. 2011.

As part of the project, heavy trucks will haul gravel from the Cedar Creek pit, down Cedar Creek Road 320, then up Diamond Match Road to the construction site on Trout Creek Road 250.  Drivers on these roads should anticipate heavy truck traffic and may experience short delays at the construction site on Trout Creek Road.  Please slow down, drive carefully, and obey all traffic control signs.

In addition, the Cedar Creek pit and the McIntyre Pit Road 18605 will be closed for the duration of the contract.
