Responsibilties to the people

This is to follow up Judy Wooley and Pat Legard’s letter from last week regarding the Sanders County Republican Central committee. The SCRCC is as irrelevant as is our U. S. congress. Congress has passed its responsibility to Obama, just as the SCRCC has passed its responsibility on to Mike Hashasaki. We are just a microcosm of what is happening in Washington D. C. The ruling elite is trying to control the people and they just don’t get it. We the people are fed up with the business of politics as usual.

The forums were set up between Mike Hashasaki and Judy Reall without any input from the precinct people in the SCRCC. The same thing happened with the money that was to be given to the candidates. It was decided by Mike Hashasaki and Bob Zimmerman, again without any input from the SCRCC. We were supposed to decide that at the next meeting and we were notified by e-mail, that the decision had been made.

The voters have entrusted the precinct people to make these decisions; however that power has been usurped by the chairman, thus allowing him to become policy maker instead of just an administrator.

It is high time the voting electorate became aware of the clandestine nature of local politics. They should start demanding that their elected officials start fulfilling their responsibilities to the people of Sanders County.
