'Fresh' premieres in Thompson Falls
Be prepared for a rude awakening. That is what Katrina Campbell, Thompson Falls Market manager and co-owner of the Falls Motel shares about “Fresh the Movie”. Its a movie being showcased by the Thompson Falls Market on Thursday, November 4th at the Rex Theater. If you have not already seen such movies as “Food Inc.,” “King Corn” or “FoodMATTERS,” attendees will be caught off guard when they hear about the issues with the industrialization of our food.
“These other movies leave the viewer a bit frustrated because the problem seems overwhelming. ‘Fresh’ on the other hand shares similar information, a bit more history and then concludes with solutions that the average Joe can implement,”shares Campbell. “It seemed appropriate that the Thompson Falls Market would premier this movie locally since we believe in supporting the local farmer or gardener.”
“It isn’t enough though for the market committee to believe in supporting the local farmer. We needed to figure out a way to share the issues and the solutions with our community. When we heard about ‘Fresh the Movie,’ we felt it was well produced and offered really good information that folks could take home with them,” explains Jackie Burgess.
“Fresh the Movie” is an awareness and fund raiser for the Thompson Falls Market. The doors open at 5:30 with the show starting around 6:00pm. Tickets are $6.00, Seniors 65+ $3.00 and youth 12 and younger are free. For more information go to www.ThompsonFallsMarket.com or contact Katrina Campbell at 406-827-3559.
