Kathryn Margaret Eisenbacher

Kathryn (Kay) Margaret (Fuchs) Eisenbacher, 62, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Mineral County Hospital of Superior in the loving arms of her husband, Earl.  A funeral Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 28, 2011 at St. Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Mission of Superior, MT.  There will also be a memorial service at Our Lady of Lakes Catholic Church of Spicer, MN, in July 2011.

Kay was born in Willmar, MN on May 1, 1948 to Mildred and Lawrence Fuchs.  On May 28, 1966 she married Earl Henry Eisenbacher.  They had four children (spouses):  Dawn Kelley (Donny) from Elkland, MO, Michelle Cann (Jerome) from Jericho, VT, Sarah Sue Miller (Randy) from Hickory NC and Earl Matthew Eisenbacher (Sara) from Springfield, MO. 

Kay graduated from Atwater High School of Atwater, MN.  She attended Willmar Vo-Tech (Ridgewater College) for Cosmetology and operated her own shop, Kay’s Kut n Kurl from 1975 until her retirement.  The family moved to St. Regis, MT in 1983 where Kay continued her salon.  She had various jobs in St. Regis throughout the years, however being a beautician was the work she enjoyed the most.  Kay was a lady of many talents including gardening, cooking, needle work and she was also an avid reader.

As said by family, friends and neighbors:  “It was a great privilege to know Kay.  We will miss her quick wit, her quiet confidence, the sparkle in her eye, and her great sense of humor.”

Kay was preceded in death by her mother and father.  She is survived by her husband and their four children, along with three brothers: Don “Butch” Gable of Willmar, MN, Bob (Bernadette) Fuchs of Pennock, MN, Gary (Judy) Fuchs of Atwater, MN and three sisters: Rita (Harlan) Broers of Clara City, MN, Susan (Jim) Lee of Winfield, IA, and Laurie (Bill) Miller of Pennock, MN, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  Kay was a devoted grandmother of eleven and great-grandmother of three.
