After having their meet in Frenchtown cancelled last week, the Alberton Panthers traveled to Florence on Thursday of last week.

On April 7, the Panthers traveled to Florence for the Florence Invitational. The Alberton girls ended up coming in at the end of the field with only two points. The boys also came in at the end of the field.

However, it was a track meet that got the kids out and let them gain some experience, which Coach Rachel Clevenger says is important.

Competing in the 400 meter dash, runner Jenna Rausch took home a fifth place finish with a time of 67.4 seconds.

For the boys, Jake Thompson tied with Rodney Hunter, from Deer Lodge, for sixth in the high jump. Thompson cleared the bar at 5-6.

This week, on April 14, the team will be in Missoula for the Jim Johnson Invitational, which starts at 10 a.m.
