On Wednesday, April 27, the Superior School District is hosting a Superior School Showcase Night. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and run until 7:30 p.m. Students from the elementary, junior high and high school classes will be showcasing their work.

“We would love to see not only parents, but community members that would like to find out what our local students are doing at school,” said Jamie Toivonen.

Toivonen said that presentations will also be made on the Superior School levy and what the funds will be allocated for. There will also be presentations on the Superior Community Center and laptop initiative.

The event was formerly known as Tech Night, but the name was changed to allow all different kinds of projects instead of solely technology projects. Those who come out to the event can expect a wide variety of projects in the areas of art, technology and more.

Like last year, there will also be door prizes awarded to those who attend. The prizes will include gift certificates to local food establishments, a gas barbeque and an iPod nano among others. Toivonen noted that refreshments will also be served during the event.

The event will be be at the high school in Superior.
