The Sanders County Arts Council is pleased to announce that Dixie Hall, St. Regis pianist, will be in concert on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the United Methodist Church in Plains, MT.  Hall, whose musical repertoire extends from classical to jazz, will perform music from Moscow, Madrid and the United States.  She will perform selections from Mozart, Rachmoninoff, Hupfeld, Debussy, Lecuona, and other composers.

Hall earned a graduate degree in piano from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, where she studied with Phyllis Lehrer and Dalton Baldwin. While at Westminster, she performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia with the renowned Westminster Choir.  Hall taught music in Missouri, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania colleges, and traveled several years with a Christian band throughout the US and Europe.

Hall and her husband, Rev. Thomas Hall (who pastors the United Methodist Church in Plains and Paradise), recently moved to St. Regis from Pennsylvania. They are delighted to be living in Montana as she grew up in Billings. They have two grown children who live in Pennsylvania.  Additional musicians joining Hall are Mark Reichman on bongos and Thomas Hall on trumpet.

The concert is at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 1, at the Plains United Methodist Church, Meany & Walnut Streets, Plains, MT.

The Sanders County Arts Council sponsors the concert. Proceeds will benefit the Sanders Count Arts Council & Mosaic (a program providing housing for AIDS-orphans in South Africa).  For more information, contact: John Thorson (406) 826-0500
