Thompson Falls dropped a pair of games against Columbia Falls, 29-78 on Friday, and Bigfork, 51-85 on Saturday this week, dropping their record to 3-5 conf., 6-8 ovr.

The Wildcats showed why they were the top ranked Class A team in the state by smothering Thompson Falls in the opening half, and heading into the locker room with a 53-17 halftime advantage.

The Bluehawks struggled versus the Wildcats’ full court pressure, and Columbia Falls didn’t hesitate in converting turnovers into transition points as Thompson Falls struggled to keep up.

Nick Emerson scored 16 points for the undefeated Wildcats (11-0). Parker Johnson tallied 15 points in the win.

For Thomspon Falls, Chalis Wilson and Jaron Laws each tallied nine points in the loss. Garrett Reinschmidt scored seven and Josh Hojem four points for the Bluehawks.

On Saturday, the Vikings shot their way to a 27-6 lead in the first quarter courtesy of six 3-pointers as they ran away with the District 7-B contest.

Thompson Falls countered with a hard-hitting 21-11 second quarter, but Bigfork answered right back in the third and fourth outscoring the Bluehawks 21-9 and 26-15 respectively in the final two periods.

Christian Ker sank four treys and netted a game-high 24 points as the Vikings improved to 8-0, 11-4 on the season.

Wilson, 14, and Laws, 13, each scored in double-digits for the Bluehawks. Reinschmidt scored nine, Cody Phillips six, Kevin Hagedorn three and Sky Hall three, Hojem two and A.J. Pavlik one in the loss.

Thompson Falls will host Charlo on Friday before heading to Noxon on Saturday.
