Vicki 'Higgs' Foster

Ms. Vicki ‘Higgs’ Foster passed away on Friday, February 11, at 9:07 a.m. at the Mineral Community Nursing Home in Superior. Vicki was born March 16, 1965 in Paonia, Colorado.

Vicki and her parents, Bud and Francis Higgs, moved to Superior 43 years ago. Vicki was 18 months old. She started kindergarten and attended school in Superior through her senior year. She went on to attend Montana State University in Bozeman, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in nursing.

After working in Billings, Mt. at Deaconess Medical Center for a few years, she moved to Palm Springs, California, where she specialized in cardiology until she returned home to Superior in July of last year.

During her high school years, Vicki played basketball for the Lady Cats. She loved every minute of it. She loved to go on cruises and loved life in general.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Bud.

Vicki is survived by her mother, Francis Higgs, of Superior, and her companion Rob McGuire of Rialto, California. She is also survived by a half brother Jerry Higgs of West Virginia; her aunt and uncle, Irene and Homer Griffin of Palisade, California; her aunt and uncle, Connie and John Perry; cousins Danie and Tamera of Palm Desert, California; and her former husband Lance Foster of Stevensville, Mt; and many of her dear friends, all of whom she loved dearly.

Vicki’s service will be held on March 5, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Queen of Mary Catholic Church at 204 Second Ave E. in Superior. She will be laid to rest in the Superior Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is set up at the Mullan Trail Bank in Superior.
