The Lady Panthers found themselves with one win and one loss this week.

First up, the girls played St. Regis and won 40-29. They were up against Drummond next on Friday. They ended up losing 18-61.

Against St. Regis on Thursday, the girls came out and took the lead early in the first quarter by four points. They extended that lead to nine points by halftime, 22-13.

Things changed a bit for the girls when St. Regis dropped from five players down to four.

Still, the Alberton girls had cushioned their lead by the fourth quarter. They went into the final frame of the game ahead, 34-20.

Baldwin said that he was happy to come away from the game with a win.

Baldwin gave his respect to the St. Regis team for their effort.

Baldwin felt that his team did well throughout the first half, but saw a few minor things in the second half.

Jenna Rausch scored ten rebounds and ten points against St. Regis. Andi Clark led with 13 points, Dani Hanley and Krysta Henley both added six points.

It was on to Drummond on Friday night and the girls didn’t fare too well. During the first half, however, Baldwin felt that the girls played Drummond fairly well and better than they had in the first game against the team back in December.

The girls were only down by 13 points going into the second half of the game, 14-27. It was Drummond’s depth that hindered the Lady Panthers in the second half.

Jenna Rausch recorded six points for the Lady Panthers (1-5, 1-8). Rausch shot six points and Henley added four for the team.
