The public is invited to an open house to tour the new Community Food bank building on Monday, Jan. 31, noon to 2 p.m., at 308 Pine in Superior, and join the staff for coffee and treats.  Visitors are asked to use the alley access from 4th Ave. and park on the South side of the building.

The first fundraiser for 2011 will be a sweetheart bake sale on Valentines Day Feb. 14th at the new food bank building, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Volunteers will take sample baskets out to businesses to tempt those who can’t get away to come and shop.

The dedicated volunteers, who worked on the building, on various fundraisers, and collected donations, will be guests of honor at a volunteer appreciation dinner on February 19 hosted by the food bank board.  Invitation flyers will be sent out with time and place.

The Community Food Bank of Mineral County is open on Fridays 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Anyone wanting to volunteer hours, help with the bake sale or make a donation can contact:  Rose Duncan at 822-2551, Marlene Adair at 822-1950 or 822-1930, or by mail at P.O. Box 46, Superior, Mont. 59872.
