Courthouse Concert

Superior residents brought lawn chairs and blankets to the courthouse lawn Saturday afternoon to enjoy some live country music.

Singer songwriter Shane Clouse, a Montana native who lives in Missoula, played country songs with his band Stompin Ground for the toe-tapping crowd. 

Clouse and his band showed up a few minutes late from a flat tire on the interstate.  Despite the delay, Clouse took the stage, tuned his guitar and started singing "Montana on my mind:, a song from his first studio album.

Clouse has recorded four albums in his career, with his latest being "Good Thing Going On".  Between songs, Clouse talked to the audience about growing up in Montana.  Clouse played ruby in Missoula and grew up as a member of the 4-H.  He said he knew some locals in Superior from his 4-H days.

Clouse has traveled all over the world from New Zealand to Nashville, but he expressed how much being in Montana means to him.  He played many authentic songs about Montana including a song for a bar in Dixon.

The Mineral County Performing Arts Council organized the concert.
